What we do
Most gardens need a little attention often, rather than a lot once a year. On a regular visit we mow and edge the lawn, weed the borders, cut back what needs cutting and take the waste away with us.
We agree with you what matters most in your garden and how often we should come. You do not need to be at home. Some of our clients have had us looking after their garden for more than ten years.

He walks round the garden with you, asks what you want kept, cut back or changed, and suggests how often we should visit.

The quote sets out what we do on each visit and what it costs. If you are happy, we agree a regular day.

The same people come each time, so they get to know your garden. If anything needs attention, we tell you.

Before we start
The grass usually starts growing in March and slows down in October or November. Most lawns need cutting every week or two in late spring and early summer.
Many gardens around Northolt and Ealing sit on London clay. It holds water in winter and cracks in a dry summer, so we try not to walk on a wet lawn or dig heavy clay when it is waterlogged.
Hedges are checked for nesting birds before we trim them. It is against the law to damage or destroy an active nest, and the main nesting season runs from March to August.
If you use the same gardener on a set day, it helps if they bring their own tools and equipment. We bring everything we need, including a van for the waste.

About regular garden care
How often should a gardener visit?
For most family gardens, every two weeks from spring to autumn works well, with a visit every month or so in winter. A small, low-maintenance garden may only need a monthly visit. We will suggest what suits your garden when we come to look.
Do I need to be at home?
No. Many of our clients are out when we visit. We just need access to the garden, for example through a side gate. We let you know when we have finished.
Will the same people come each time?
Yes. You will have the same small team, and Karol is always the person to speak to.
Do you take the cuttings away?
Yes. All cuttings and green waste go with us in the van. We do not leave bags behind for you.
What happens if it rains?
We work in light rain. If the weather is too poor, or the lawn is too wet to cut, we move your visit and tell you the new day.
Can you look after the garden while I am on holiday?
Yes. We can mow, water and keep an eye on the garden while you are away, and tell you if anything needs attention.
